New

  • The amount of commodities you own is shown on the main HUD, top right.

Map :

Locked Sectors :

  • Empires are now locked for the sector they choose when they join a server. Players that get culled or destroyed can choose again when they rejoin the same server.
  • Empires join their Sector chat channel is when they enter a new game.

Special Effect Hexes :

  • New hex tooltips which show the effects of hexes.
  • New notifications for changes of special hex ownership.
  • New models and effects.
  • New Map Markers which can be toggled separately from Strategic Hexes.
  • Station Effects
    • These effects go to the station with the highest claim on the hex. This is the implementation from DeadZone, but no hex with such an effect is present on the Dissidence map.
  • Sector Effects
    • These effects go to all empires belonging to the sector of the empire which owns the hex.
  • Alliance Effects
    • These effects go to all empires belonging to the alliance of the empire which owns the hex.

Changed

  • Events got rebranded into Import Commodities.
  • Updated Hex tooltips for Outposts and Strategic Hexes.
  • Base number of fleets per alliance assault decreased to 15, down from 20.
  • Rebalanced Achievement Rewards across the board.
  • Reduced Plasma Cargo bonuses:
    • Building Plasma Chamber‘s bonus to plasma cargo reduced to 2% per level, down from 3%.
    • Building Plasma Chamber‘s bonus to speed while harvesting to 0.5 per level, down from 1.
    • Card Leilo Harveter‘s bonus to plasma cargo reduce to 6%, down from 10%.
    • Card MPL Harveter‘s bonus to plasma cargo reduce to 10%, down from 14%.
    • Card Sanctum Harveter‘s bonus to plasma cargo reduce to 15%, down from 20%.
    • Card START Harveter‘s bonus to plasma cargo reduce to 20%, down from 30%.
    • Card Borts‘ bonus to plasma cargo reduce to 6%, down from 10%.

Politics Panel :

Factions :

  • MPL bonus to passive metal, gas and crystal production reduced to 15%, down from 25%.
  • MPL Trading Port harvest rate increased to 60%, up from 50%.
  • Frontier Legion‘s bonus to station harvest reduced to 40%, down from 50%.

Buildings :

  • Alliance Station
    • Total resource cost to build all buildings increased to 40M, up from 30M.
    • Warehouse capacity levels adjusted to allow for all levels of all buildings to be built.
  • Forward Operating Base
    • Total resource cost to build all buildings increased to 20M, up from 10M.
    • Warehouse capacity levels adjusted to allow for all levels of all buildings to be built.
    • (Edit Oct. 20th) Base fleet limit decreased to 30, down from 40.
    • Building Particle Accelerator‘s bonus to jump ranged reduced to 3 per level, down from 5.
    • Building Navigation Beacon‘s bonus to incoming deployment speed reduced to 3 per level, down from 5.
    • (Edit Oct. 20th) Building Hangar Bay‘s bonus decreased to 2 per level, down from 4 per level.

Fixed

  • Daily Challenge Achievements now trigger for the right Levels.
  • Fixed an issue where the 4k resolution was not shown.
  • Default FPS limit is now unlimited instead of 30.
  • Added Background FPS Limit option. Limiting down to 5 fps while Starborne is running in the background. (This feature is currently only working while the FPS Limit is unlimited, but will work for more options in the future.)

Performance

  • Improved the performance of the achievement system backend. We will monitor the impact of this during the launch of the Tau Scorpii servers.
  • Improved server performance for Hex information LookUps, which should reduce server load across the board.
