FrontiersUpdate

Features

  • The defeat screen on single battles has been modified to streamline retrying failed battles.
  • The store has been further updated for a better new player experience.
  • The different implant types are now shown in the loot preview for Void Breaches.

Balance Changes

  • The Battle Pass XP per combat win and per Dispatch sent has been increased from 20 to 40.

Dev note: Thank you for all the feedback regarding the battlepass xp change trialed in Feb thus far. The intent of this was to expedite the rate of gain for new players as we felt the resource spend approach was far too punishing. We are happy with this specific outcome. The total gain for established players however does not meet our standards, despite the additional gain from resourceless encounters. We hope to continue to improve the battlepass experience in the coming months. Thank you for your continued support in building a better Frontier.

  • The Equipment and Implant loot quality from Void Breach Catalyst primary loot has been increased for all Void Breaches.*
  • The Equipment and Implant loot quantity from Void Shard bonus loot has been increased for higher tier Void Breaches.*
  • The Equipment and Implant loot quality has been increased for Void Breach progression track rewards.*

*Uncommon Major and Ultimate implants have been removed entirely from Catalyst rewards, Void Breach tier progression track rewards and Void Shard bonus loot.

  • The Calibration token RNG has been removed and drop rates have been changed to a guaranteed 1,2,3,5 Calibration tokens for completing Void Breach tiers 1,2,3,4 respectively.
  • The Void Shard drops per encounter increased from 2-5 to 3-5.
  • The Void Shard drops from boss encounters increased from a range of 3-5, to flat 5.

The Vault

Dev note: The following Alliance Raid changes are intended to reduce entry for players progressing between phases 2 and 3 of the encounter as well as increase run stability for players clearing phases 1 - 3 with alpha team. Alongside this, we have made skill adjustments to minimize soft lock combat situations causing players to hit round limits. Thank you for your continued feedback regarding the Alliance Raid, our next steps are improving accessibility to phase 4 of the current corrosion core without compromising deep progression as well as reviewing the reward structure.

  • Phase 2 Active + Charge skills changed (see below for full changes)
  • Phase 2 has had a level reduction from 90 -> 85
  • Phase 3 has had scaled level reductions:
    • Wave 1 level 100 down to 87.
    • Wave 2 level 105 down to 95.
    • Wave 3 levels remain unchanged.
  • Phase 3 has received skill changes to Defender and Supporter (see below for full changes).
  • The Vault Guard Boost buff in Phase 3 no longer has a duration.
