Upgrade and rank up your units

The best thing you can do in the early game is to upgrade (level up) your commanders and rank them up to make them stronger. Ranking up your units boosts key stats like hitpoints (HP), attack and defense. Follow the steps below to upgrade your commander.

Upgrade

To upgrade your commanders you will need EXP Bits (see below), which can be obtained by taking part in battles or by completing daily activities. To continue advancing, ships need to increase their rank at each 10-level milestone.

To upgrade your commanders follow the steps below:

• Go to the hangar

• Tap the commander you wish to level up
• Select "ship"
• Tap “Upgrade”

Rank up

Rank up your units by using existing commanders of the same rank (often referred to as fodder)
or by using mainframe upgrades (the number of materials required corresponds to your commander's rank).

Each mainframe corresponds to a specific unit rank. Here's a list of mainframe types and their corresponding unit ranks:

Follow the steps below to rank up your unit:

• Go to the Hangar
• Select the commander you want to rank up
• Tap the "Rank" tab (Alternatively, tap "Promote" on the "Ship" menu to access the "Rank" panel.)
• Select the required number of units and/or rank-up materials
• Tap “Rank Up”
